Course Description:
The Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Management (FCHRM) is a professional certificate course designed specifically for individuals with little or no human resource experience, or considering a career or specialization in the HR field. The FCHRM will help professionals further develop their competencies and understand the basic building blocks of human resources.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
1. Understand the basic principles and fundamentals of human resource management.
2. Demonstrate competence in understanding of key terms, theories and practices within the field of HR.
3. Effectively apply key learnings and plan human resource functions within organizations.
Learning Methodology
Throughout the course, an environment of dynamic learning will be fostered using lectures, audio,videos, cases, class discussions, short quizzes, and reflection papers. The certification will be facilitated synchronously via Zoom and access to modules and other course deliverables are through a Learning Management System (LMS).
The FCHRM is a 4-day certification program that has ten (10) modules that will cover the foundations of human resource management. The program will be divided into twelve (12) sessions, including two short assessment examinations. Each session will have a 1 hour and 30 minutes class duration.
Participants Responsibilities and Conduct
Students are expected to behave properly and with utmost professionalism during classes and when talking to the program’s academic officers. Students should observe their attendance, proper decorum, course requirements and other responsibilities such as avoidance to cheating, plagiarism and other dysfunctional behaviors.
